"The Letter in the Garden"

"The Letter in the Garden"

In a quiet village surrounded by hills and wildflowers, there lived a girl named Arohi who loved to write letters—letters she never sent. She’d leave them tucked between the pages of books at the local library or beneath stones in the village garden. They were full of hopes, dreams, and secret wishes of meeting someone who’d understand her heart without needing words.

One rainy afternoon, while sheltering under an old mango tree in the garden, she noticed a boy reading a letter—her letter—from the hollow of the tree trunk. His name was Rayan, a traveler who had come to the village looking for stories. He looked up and smiled as if he’d been waiting to find her all along.

“What if this one was meant for me?” he asked gently, folding the letter carefully.

They started meeting in the garden, where words blossomed between them like the flowers around. They shared books, poems, laughter, and quiet silences that spoke louder than anything else.

Years passed, but their garden meetings never stopped. One day, Rayan gave her a letter of his own. Inside, just five words:

“Will you grow with me?”

And beneath the old mango tree, with petals falling like blessings, she whispered: “Always.”
